I recently bought a 3 year ancient male pomeranian. He does nothing but hide under the bed. I have to coax him out so that I may walk him. Even at meal time, I have to bribe him out from under the bed.
Once he is out from under the bed, he is fine – playful, energetic, and sociable – as long as he can’t make it back to his hiding spot.
What can I do to make him come out from under the bed without having to bribe him and then barricade my room?

My new beagle that I rescued from the shelter is really friendly. He follows me everywhere, so I find it hard to train him to stay. But if he finds something fascinating to smell, he won’t respond to me. I’ve found that whistling or snapping sometimes works, but I need more help. Thanks!

Do you know anyone that breeds Yorkshires or Shorkies, and will give one up for adoption?

I was raised around dogs, and treat them like family. Not like an animal.
