I have a girl beagle who will be going into her first heat soon. What can I expect?

By milkbone Posted in #5 - Beagle / 7 Comments »
KG1 questioned:

I have an 8 month ancient beagle who will be going into heat. When can I expect her to start, how long will it last, and what can I expect while she is in heat? She and my other boy beagle stay in a dog pin outside during the day, but are with us at night and sleep in the bed. It’s going to be hard to keep them separated and it’s going to be sad for me when she can no longer sleep in the bed with us. Any advice/suggestions? Thanks!

German Small Haired Pointer
Nicoleio<3 questioned:

So my boyfriend his stepdad and i went phesant hunting this morning with his German Small Haired Pointer, they’ve taken him a few times before and he did a realy really excellent job, today he did excellent for the first 30 mins. or so and got about 3 birds, but after that he wouldnt leave our sides, we thought it was becasue of the loud noise but he was no where near it. My boyfriend has a golden retriever puppy at home that is super close with the pointer. could the reason the dog not want to hunt be because he misses the puppy? … we know its not cuz he was hungry or thirsty… he’d hunt on and off.. what happend?

My English Bulldog seems to have a serious skin infection around his face? Any help?

champaigne taste questioned:

My English bulldog, mambo, is a small over a year ancient. Here in the last couple of days, he has been somewhat depressed. I took a look at his face, as it seemed to be breaking out. His skin is horribly upset, with redness. He has lost hair around his face. Under his chin. There are some bumps, patchy hair loss, and overall the skin just looks miserable. Any clue what this could be?

The blade on my Bulldog 10\” bandsaw keeps coming off the pulleys. Do you know how to adjust?

Don P – Keeping ‘em Honest questioned:

I have a Bulldog brand 10″ bandsaw. I recently replaced the blade (ancient one broke). The new blade ran okay for awhile, but now comes off of the pulleys/wheels after just a few seconds of operation. I don’t have a manual, and can’t find one online. If you know how to adjust the blade tracking, or whatever it takes to fix this, I’d greatly appreciate it.

If you don’t know this specific bandsaw, do you know a book or website that you can recommend for generic bandsaw information that might guide me in the right direction so I can fix this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you could make the same style of skirt, but replace the poodle with something amusing and not that hard to render with fabric and thread, what would you choose?
